I started Lake Country Canines with the dream of providing a vacation spot for your beloved dogs while you are also on vacation.

I have always preferred to spend my time with dogs but I thought you had to be intimidating and forceful to train dogs, so I went to school to become a Chemical Engineer instead! I then tried a few other animal related paths, including working at a vet clinic and working in animal rescue, before discovering positive reinforcement and science based training.

I have been a graduate of Canine Correspondence Studies and a Certified Dog Trainer with the International Positive Dog Training Association since 2012.

My husband and I and our furry crew moved to the Coldwater area in 2020 to have more space to be able to provide boarding for our previous training clients (and some of their furry friends and family too!)
